Participants' Information


Participants are asked to look carefully after their wardrobe, valuables, laptops, and other belongings for which the organizers are not liable. 

A cloakroom is available at the foyer Karo 5 and on Monday in the passageway from building Karo 5 to the canteen.

Information Desk

There will be an information desk where you can get information about the City, accommodation, restaurants, culture from a local contact person. The information desk are located in the foyer "Karo 5"


Guest accounts for the WiFi network of TU Darmtadt will be provided to you. Login and password will be provided with the registration.

In addition, the WiFi is available via the eduroam network.

The PC-Pool of TU Darmstadt’s Phyics department in the ground floor of building  S2/06 (see map: is open to conference participants.

Child care

Child care for children aged 1-12 years is offered daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in cooperation with TU Darmstadt’s “Servicestelle Familie“. It takes place at „Fluggis Abenteuerland Darmstadt“ ( This venue is reachable by public transport within approx. 10 minutes from the conference venue. The childcare is financed by TU Darmstadt.

Additionally, parent-child rooms of TU Darmstadt are available close to the conference  venue.


Coffee breaks will take place in the foyer, in the lounge of Karo 5 and in the building S1/05 between the sessions. During the exhibition of physical equipment and literature complimentary snacks are
offered in the lounge of Karo 5 (upper level) in additional.

The TU Darmstadt canteen is located directly at the conference venue in building S1/11 (map:, the conference venue is in buildings S1/01 and S1/05 in section). The daily menue is presented under Cash payment is possible.

Cafeterias are located in building S1/01 (Karo) as well as in the ground floor of the university library (ULB, building S1/20 directly next to the conference venue). The canteen houses a Bistro which is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. (Fridays until 3 p.m.
